GUIDELINES FOR AUTHORS

Policies of Submission and Acceptance

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.


The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).

The submission file is in Microsoft Word format as per template.

Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.

The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.

The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Papers that have been previously published or submitted for publication elsewhere may not be accepted. Where the paper submitted contains previously published materials, the author shall quote such content or mark it in another manner.

If the paper submitted has resulted from a research project or had previously been verbally presented at a conference (bearing the same or similar title), detailed data about the project / conference shall be provided in a footnote at the start of the paper.

Authors shall explicitly indicate the source of all the materials and ideas authored by others in their work, regardless of their format and whether such materials had previously been published or not. The Editorial Board shall decide on paper acceptance and classify the papers accepted for publication on the basis of the evaluation performed by the reviewers. Objectivity and anonymity of this process are ensured through a double-blind review process, where the reviewers do not know the identity of the authors and vice versa.


(a)Target Article Type

Research Articles:

These should describe new, carefully confirmed findings, innovative & creative research ideas and experimental procedures should be given in sufficient detail for others to verify the work. The length of a full paper should be the minimum required to describe and interpret the work clearly. It also includes personalized review articles on the research work carried at the author(s)’ laboratory, based on the published work of the author(s).


Short Communications:

A short communication is suitable for recording the results of complete small investigations or giving details of new models or hypotheses, innovative methods, techniques, creative models etc. The style of main sections need not conform to that of full-length papers. Short communications are 2 to 4 printed pages (about 4 to 8 manuscript pages) in length.


Reviews Articles:

Submissions of reviews and perspectives covering topics of current interest are welcome and encouraged. Reviews should be concise and no longer than 2-4 printed pages (about 4 to 8 manuscript pages). Review manuscripts are also peer-reviewed. It also focuses on current advancements in the given field.


Addendum:

It includes article giving additional information on earlier published research paper of the author


Case Report:

It includes case reports / studies in any sub-areas of the main field. A case report is generally considered a type of anecdotal evidence.


Historical Note:

It includes article giving additional information on earlier published research paper of the author


Narration / Opinion:

Views on scientific activity. Narration encompasses a set of techniques through which the authors / creators presents their vies / opinions


Book Reviews:

Books can be reviewed for research thesis, scientific books, printed periodicals, magazines and newspapers, as school work, or for book web sites on the internet. Reviewers may use the occasion of a book review for a display of learning or to promulgate their own ideas on the topic of a fiction or non-fiction work.

(b) Scope of this journal

National Journal of Research in Engineering , Technology & Management covers all topics of all engineering branches and management. Some of them are Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and Telecommunication, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, all interdisciplinary streams of Engineering Sciences.


(c) Ethics & Policies

The publication of an article in a peer-reviewed journal is an essential building block in the development of a coherent and respected network of knowledge. It is a direct reflection of the quality of work of the author and the institutions that support them. Peer-reviewed articles support and embody the scientific method. It is therefore important to agree upon standards of expected ethical behaviour.


Ethics topics to consider when publishing:

Authorship of the paper:

Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the reported study.


Originality and plagiarism:

The authors should ensure that they have written entirely original works, and if the authors have used the work and/or words of others that this has been appropriately cited or quoted.


Data access and retention

Authors may be asked to provide the raw data in connection with a paper for editorial review, and should be prepared to provide public access to such data.


Multiple, redundant or concurrent publication:

An author should not in general publish manuscripts describing essentially the same research in more than one journal or primary publication. National Journal of Research in Technology & Engineering does not view the following uses of a work as prior publication: publication in the form of an abstract; publication as an academic thesis; publication as an electronic preprint.


Acknowledgement of sources:

Proper acknowledgment.


Disclosure and conflicts of interest:

All submissions must include disclosure of all relationships that could be viewed as presenting a potential conflict of interest.


Fundamental errors in published works:

When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in his/her own published work, it is the author’s obligation to promptly notify the journal editor or publisher and cooperate with the editor to retract or correct the paper.


Reporting standards:

Authors of reports of original research should present an accurate account of the work performed as well as an objective discussion of its significance.


Hazards and human or animal subjects:

: Statements of compliance are required if the work involves chemicals, procedures or equipment that has any unusual hazards inherent in their use, or if it involves the use of animal or human subjects.


Use of patient images or case details

Studies on patients or volunteers require ethics committee approval and informed consent, which should be documented in the paper.
